TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- These Terms and Conditions of Service govern the Customer’s use of the Services provided by Presto Drycleaners Pte Ltd (‘Presto’). The Customer will be deemed to have agreed to these Terms and Conditions of Service upon handing over the Customer’s article(s) to Presto. If the Customer does not agree to these Terms and Conditions of Service, the Customer must reject the processing of the Customer’s article(s) within the same day of handing over the Customer’s article(s).
- The services provided by Presto are:
- Laundry Services
- Dry Cleaning Services
- Carpet Cleaning Services
- Curtain Cleaning Services
- Alteration & Mending Services
- Any other services from time to time provided by Presto (collectively referred to as the “Services”)

For all Services, Presto will exercise reasonable care in processing the Customer’s article(s), using methods that are best suited (in Presto’s discretion) to the fabric, nature, construction and condition of the article(s).

Upon handing over the Customer’s article(s) to Presto, the Customer is to confirm the number of article(s), otherwise Presto’s count of the number of article(s) shall be accepted as correct.
- Detachable Accessories and Personal Items: Any personal items, valuables, ornaments, special buttons, loose and/or detachable accessories (i.e. including but not limited to detachable trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, belts, shoulder pads, sequins, straps, lock(s), key(s), jewellery, cufflinks, and charms) on the Customer’s item(s) must be removed by the Customer before dropping off article(s) with Presto. Presto shall not be held liable for any loss or damage of such personal items, valuables, ornaments, special buttons, loose and/or detachable accessories, or any damage caused to the article(s) resulting from the Customer’s failure to remove such ornaments, special buttons, loose and/or detachable accessories.
- Charges: The charges for the Services shall be in accordance with the Price List published at https://prestodrycleaners.com.sg/pricelist/.
- Payment: Payment for all Services provided by Presto shall be made in full on the date that the Customer hands over the uncleaned article(s) to Presto. Presto will not be obliged to perform the Services if full payment is not received from the Customer. If, however, Presto performs the Services before receiving full payment, Presto reserves the right to charge interest at the rate of 2% per month on any unpaid amount until the date that the payment in full has been received by us.
- Collection of Article(s): All articles must be claimed by the Customer within 30 days from the “Ready On” date stated on the receipt (“Expiry Date”). Presto reserves the right to dispose of all articles that remain unclaimed after the Expiry Date unless otherwise agreed with the Customer in writing. The Customer agrees that the Customer is responsible for checking / inspecting all articles at the time of collection. Any issues with the article(s) must be made known to Presto within 1 day from the date of collection. The Customer agrees that Presto is not obliged to consider any complaint(s) in respect of the articles that are made after 1 day from the date of collection.
- Home Delivery Services: Complimentary Home Delivery services to eligible addresses are available with a minimum spend of S$150 at our Outlets. To use our Complimentary Home Delivery service, please inform our staff and provide your address to our outlet’s staff when upon handing over your article(s) to Presto. Presto will attempt to deliver your article(s) within 3 working days from the “Ready On” date stated on the receipt. Deliveries will take place between Monday – Saturday between 8 – 5pm (no deliveries on Sundays and Public Holidays). Presto will make a maximum of 2 delivery attempts. If the 2 delivery attempts are unsuccessful for any reason, the article(s) will be returned to the respective Outlet and must be collected by the Customer, in accordance with the terms for Collection at Clause 8 above. Complimentary Home Delivery Service is only available for valid residential and office addresses within Singapore, and is not available for addresses located in the following areas: (a) Central Business District, and (b) restricted areas such as Tuas, Jurong Island, Changi Airport, Cargo Complex, Port of Singapore Terminals, offshore islands (including Sentosa) and Singapore Armed Forces camps. If the Customer elects to use Presto’s Complimentary Home Delivery Services, any issues with the article(s) must be made known to Presto within 1 day from the date of successful delivery. The Customer agrees that Presto is not obliged to consider any complaint(s) in respect of the articles that are made after 1 day from the date of successful delivery.
- Pick-up and Home Delivery: Complimentary pick-up and home delivery services to eligible addresses are available for all Services with a minimum spend amount, which will vary according to the Service requested and remains at Presto’s discretion. Pick-up and home delivery services are only available for valid residential and office addresses within Singapore. A surcharge will be imposed for pick-up and delivery to addresses in the Central Business District and Sentosa. Pick-up and home delivery services are not available for restricted areas such as Tuas, Jurong Island, Changi Airport, Cargo Complex, Port of Singapore Terminals, offshore islands (excluding Sentosa) and Singapore Armed Forces camps. In the event that the Customer cancels the pick-up appointment on the same day as the pick-up appointment, a cancellation charge of S$30 will be imposed. Payment for the Services is to be made upon pick up of the article(s). If, however, Presto performs the Services before receiving full payment, Presto reserves the right not to deliver the article(s) until full payment has been made. For the avoidance of doubt, the terms of payment at Clause 7 continue to apply to orders using the pick-up and home delivery service. In addition, if the Customer elects to use Presto’s Pick-up and Home Delivery Services, any issues with the article(s) must be made known to Presto within 1 day from the date of successful delivery. The Customer agrees that Presto is not obliged to consider any complaint(s) in respect of the articles that are made after 1 day from the date of successful delivery.
- Disclaimer (Stains): Presto endeavours to achieve the highest standard of cleaning quality for all articles entrusted to its care. However, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that certain stains may be stubborn or may have set deeply into the article, rendering complete removal difficult or impossible. While Presto will use reasonable efforts to remove stains during the cleaning process, Presto does not guarantee the complete removal of all stains. The Customer acknowledges that the effectiveness of stain removal depends on various factors, including the type of stain, fabric composition, and pre-existing conditions of the article. Presto shall not be liable for any residual stains remaining after the cleaning process, nor for any damage resulting from attempts to remove such stains. The Customer agrees that Presto is entitled to full payment for the Services even if stains cannot be removed completely.
- Disclaimer (Smells): The Customer acknowledges and agrees that smells are subjective and cannot be used as a point of reference to determine whether the article(s) are clean. Certain smells such as pet urine or damp smells may be stubborn or may have set deeply into the article, rendering complete removal difficult or impossible. While Presto will use reasonable efforts to remove such smells during the cleaning process, Presto does not guarantee the complete removal of all smells. The Customer agrees that Presto is entitled to full payment for the Services even if certain smells cannot be removed completely.
- Disclaimer (Curtains / Sofa Covers): By using the Services, the Customer acknowledges that curtains and sofa covers may shrink, weaken or tear after cleaning. This is a natural reaction as certain fabrics are not pre-shrunk or are weak due to prolonged sun exposure. Presto is unable to guarantee that curtains and sofa covers will not shrink, weaken or tear after cleaning, nor can Presto predict the extent of shrinkage/tear to such items. The Customer agrees that Presto will not be liable for any such damage as this is not within Presto’s control.
- Alteration & Mending Services: Alteration Services are based on the measurements provided at the time of the Customer’s first fitting or measurements provided by the Customer over the counter (“Measurements”). Any subsequent changes to the Measurements will be subject to additional charges. A tolerance of 2 cm shall be applied to the manual measurements. Cut out fabric will be recycled unless customers specifically request otherwise. All Mending Services will be provided by Presto’s in-house tailor.
- Limitation of Liability: Presto’s liability for any loss and/or damage to the Customer’s articles will in any event be limited to S$150.00 per article. Presto shall not, however, be liable for the following:
- Any pre-existing defects/stains on the Customer’s article(s). While Presto will endeavour to indicate all pre-existing defects/stains on the Customer’s invoice, such indications are based only on Presto’s preliminary inspection and are not conclusive or final. Any failure to record / notify the Customer of any pre-existing defects/stains shall not be taken as Presto’s agreement that the defect/stain is not a pre-existing defect/stain.
- Any damage resulting from inherent defects, pre-existing conditions (visible or non-visible), or inherent weaknesses in the materials used to construct the article. This applies particularly, but not exclusively, to suede, leather, silk, satin, double-face fabric, vinyl, polyurethanes. Damage resulting from inherent defects, pre-existing conditions or inherent weaknesses in the materials include changes in texture, running of dyes, appearance of stains, spots, fading, discoloration, ripping/tearing of fabric, nap distortion and water marking.
- Claims: The Customer must present the original receipt to Presto when making a claim for loss / damage. Where Presto agrees to compensate the Customer in respect of the claim, Presto shall be entitled to retain the article, regardless of whether the article is partially or completely damaged.
- Personal Data & Consent to Marketing: By using the Services, the Customer agrees and consents to Presto’s collection, use and disclosure of the Customer’s personal information as submitted by the Customer in order for Presto to provide the Services, process transactions, provide customer services, better understand the Customer’s needs, make special offers or promotions to the Customer by email, telephone and for marketing purposes.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions of Service shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Singapore and subject to the jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts. All disputes arising out of or in connection with the provision of Services by Presto with a disputed sum of less than or equal to S$20,000 shall be submitted to and determined by the Small Claims Tribunal in Singapore.
